JavaScript Job: Product Designer

About us:
Kinastic is a health tech startup founded in 2016 and we are based in Winterthur, Switzerland. We have pivoted from automatic fitness tracking to a corporate health management platform - and couldn’t be prouder of our journey so far!

So far 2022 has been a big one for us .

AXA Switzerland became our lead investor and thanks to their investment and partnership, we are in a rapid growth phase. To facilitate our growth, we are looking for a Product Designer to help us to translate our vision into a beautifully designed app that is intuitive to use.

Tasks

What are we looking for?

Design pioneer - you will be our first full-time design hire!

You will be in charge of the visual identity and usability of the app.

Your days are a mix of strategy, concept creation, cooperation with the teams (especially PM & IT) and creating mockups and solving usability problems.

What you’ll do:

• Be our captain for design and user experience in the app
• Have your fingerprints all across the platform while working on vision and long-term product evolution
• Work directly with IT and PM to understand technical constraints, business goals, and come up with feasible design solutions
• Demonstrate your ideas as sketches, prototypes, wireframes and UI Designs
• Willingness to be hands-on, as well as look at the big picture
• You will mainly work with the product but from time to time business may need your support
• Use user feedback and data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• Can do attitude: no task is too big or too small!
• Great team player, experienced in working with (remote) agile teams
• Ability to multitask on a wide range of subjects and projects
• Experience owning products from start to finish, and collaborating with product and engineering
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Strong experience with interactive design including overall concept/vision, layout, typography and usability
• Analytical skills with an out-of-the-box problem-solving attitude
• Experience collaborating directly with PMs, engineers, business stakeholders, and end users to develop design concepts and execute on the ideas of others
• A strong eye for visual and interaction design with cross-platform experience (desktop, responsive mobile, native mobile, email)
• Must possess creative ideas, a strong solution-oriented mindset

Nice to haves:

• Good understanding of development languages for designing with technical implementation in mind (e.g. HTML and CSS, Javascript, React.js, and React Native)
• Start-up experience
• Fitness/ mindfulness/ nutrition enthusiast
• Remote work experience
